Most people believe poker
bots only exist in cash games, since they assume a poker bot can't
adapt to the changing conditions in a multi-table tournament. The
people who think that are misinformed however, as an MTT is the
perfect environment for a good bot. Not only are you constantly
changing tables throughout the tournament, which doesn't give an
opponent much time to pick up reads, but a Bonus Bot profile can
change it's strategy depending on the stack you have and the number
of opponents at the table.
A poker bot can be placed
in those large field tournaments with thousands of players and never
get tired as it works its way to the final table. Of course tilt is
also not an issue. Overall your edge will be higher in MTT's than in
cash games if you use a poker bot.
Many poker botters
specialize in MTT's and some have reported fantastic results. In the
Bonus Bots forum there have been several rags to riches
challenges where members have started out in freerolls and have
literally turned 0 into thousands of dollars within a few months
time. Talk about a good ris/reward ratio!
Also, MTT's are the only
practical way to play high stakes with a poker bot. In cash games,
they start to get tough as you move to higher stakes games. Even the
1-table SNG's are much more difficult at highr levels. But MTT's are
pretty much the same whether the buy-in is $1 or $100.
Plenty of Bonus Botters
have reported big paydays with top 3 finishes using the free MTT
profile in the forum. In fact there have been more than a few
reports where the person took over themselves on the final table and
ended up wishing the hadn't! |
