Any decent poker bot
software must have the ability to create and save playing profiles
which can be loaded at will. Typically a profile targets a certain
game environment, for example a 6-max cash game table or a
deep-stack MTT event. Back when the very first OPI Bots hit the
scene, there quickly developed a community of botters creating and
trading profiles on the better OPI Bot websites.
These days all the
serious botters are either at Bonus Bots or at Open Holdem. The Open
Holdem botters don't share or trade profiles much. However in the
Bonus Bots forum you will find a nice assortment of profiles
designed for many different game structures. Many of these are quite
good, including some of the free ones. This is one of the really fun
things about using the Shanky Technologies poker bot.
In this section of the
website I publish information regarding some of the more popular
Bonus Bots profiles. However the real satisfaction in using this
software comes from tweaking your own actions. That is, starting
with one of the better profiles and then making it your own by
adjusting an action here and there. This is best accomplished by
simply watching it play and taking notes, or going over the session
logs to find situations that you would personally like to play
differently in the future. Before you know it, you have a highly
personalized bot. Some of the best profiles were developed in
exactly this manner. Yours could be the next big thing.
