The default profile that
comes in the Shanky Technologies Holdem Bot is known as the
Doodle profile. There is a text file version that is free for
all to copy and save into their bot folder available in the support
forum. The advantage of using the text profile version is that the
bot will quote the codelines that are executed in the session logs,
so you can easily find them and edit them to your liking for future
actions if you like. However, not many people are wanting to change
much about it these days.
The Doodle plays a solid
tight-aggressive style and is meant for No Limit cash games. It has
good short-handed code in it and also defends the blinds reasonably
well. The best results have been reported at 9-max tables, probably
because the effect of the rake is less at those tables. Below is a
rating on this profile by the tracking website Poker Edge after
observing it for more than 100,000 hands at NL2 on UB:

Those are good stats, and
as you can see Poker Edge is labeling the player a shark and
advising that he be avoided if possible. This profile can be
expected to beat any loose/passive cash game that you can find
regardless of stakes. Of course, there are a lot more of those at
the lower stakes..
Since those stats were
compiled, the Doodle has been revised and improved at least another
8 or 9 versions and people in the forum have reported good results
as high as NL50 with the later versions. Table selection really
helps, of course. When the jackpot gets over $300,000 at Cereus (UB
and Absolute Poker) it does quite well at the NL50 9-max jackpot
tables there. |
