Poker Bots and Table Selection

It is only possible to make money at poker if you are playing better than your average opponent is. Therefore, the worse your opponents play the more you will make. If there is one bad player at the table it should be profitable, but the really good games have several bad players and an average pot size that is large because the bad players are calling a lot. This is one aspect that many new Poker Botters are missing.  All of the tools for profitable table selection are available to you and I will highlight some of them below.

Table Rating Services. Whether it be PTR (Poker Table Ratings) , Poker Edge or any of the other online services.  This type of selection will not work with full automation, but for manual seating this can be great.  Do a little google work, you will find what you need.

Your own Database. Once again whether it be HEM (Holdem Manager) or PT (Poker Tracker) , either of these can help you hunt down the tables that are more suitable for profit.

THE BEST! The table scanning functions of both of the listed data bases. I will touch on this with later articles, but this will work along side automation at some point and is always up to date. Stay tuned for more on this!
